Three-time NHRA Winston Top Fuel champion Shirley Muldowney will headline a huge field April 6-8 for the Dixie Nationals at Montgomery Motorsports Park in Alabama. Muldowney will race Top Fuel pilot Steve Smith at MMP on Saturday.

In addition, the Dixie Nationals weekend will feature the 250-mph Federal-Mogul Dragsters and Funny Cars. In addition, more than 300 of the finest drag racers from around the country will be at MMP competing in the Division 2 Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series event.

Saturday, April 7, will feature a Pro Mod shootout, a jet-powered dragster, and fireworks.

In addition to all the NHRA points racing, Montgomery Motorsports Park will hold special high-dollar bracket races Friday and Saturday nights with $5,000 going to the winner in Pro and $1,000 for the Footbrake winner.

Montgomery Motorsports Park is located on North Belt Drive off the Northern Bypass between Highway 231 and Coliseum Boulevard.
