Competition Eliminator racer input sought

06/11/2001

There have been several suggestions brought to our attention by Competition Eliminator racers that are in need of further discussion and input from racers. Therefore, we are asking for further racer input on the following issues.

    1. The consideration of establishing a personal CIC system. Such a system would provide each racer with a CIC index number based solely on their individual performance capabilities rather than the current system of running off of an index established by one competitor.

    2. Under the current system, the inclusion of qualifying runs in calculating CIC's rather than just elimination runs.

    3. Changing the pro ladder structure that is currently used back to the traditional sportsman ladder in which number one qualifier runs number 17, number two runs number 18 and on down.

    4. The utilization of a 4 tenths Pro tree in Competition Eliminator

Input may be sent to Jim Skelly via email at Jskelly@nhra.com; via fax, (626) 914-7551; or via regular mail to Jim Skelly, NHRA, PO Box 5555, Glendora, CA 91740-0950. Only input, suggestions, comments received in writing can be considered for review.
