NHRA, Wendy's team up with high-horsepower promotion

The National Hot Rod Association and Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers Restaurants have partnered to present a high-horsepower promotion for kids beginning April 8.
Wendy's has introduced an NHRA-themed Kids' Meal featuring five uniquely designed NHRA ejector race cars. One of five special NHRA ejector race cars will be packaged in each Wendy's Kids' Meal during the five-week promotion. Each NHRA ejector race car will come with its own super launcher that will allow kids to line up side by side for thrilling drag races.
The outstanding growth in popularity for NHRA, the world's largest motorsports sanctioning organization, and Wendy's reputation for providing children with fresh and interesting new toys in its Kids' Meal packages has made for a perfect promotional match.
"We are very pleased to have the opportunity to partner with Wendy's in presenting this exciting Kids' Meal promotion," said Gary Darcy, NHRA vice president of marketing. "The NHRA ejector race cars are really cool, and I'm certain that kids will get a lot of enjoyment out of them. With an aggressive marketing partner like Wendy's, I am confident that this will be a blockbuster promotion."
Wendy's will support the promotion through advertising as well as point-of-purchase items, including signage and website postings at wendys.com.
