  Tony Schumacher defeats Morgan Lucas in the Top Fuel final, running 4.617 @ 331.45 mph, setting the track speed record and retaking the points lead. 21 seconds, 1.1 MB.
  Robert Hight defeats Phil Burkhart in the Funny Car final, running 4.897 @ 316.60 mph, taking the lead in the points chase from his boss. 18.5 seconds, 1 MB.
  Warren Johnson defeats Dave Connolly in the final round of Pro Stock, after one of the longest staging duels in history, winning with a 7.131 @ 193.16 mph pass. 22.5 seconds, 1.2 MB.
  Ryan Schnitz defeats Antron Brown in the final round of Pro Stock Motorcycle, running 7.513 @ 184.37 mph, his second victory of 2005. 22 seconds, 1.2 MB.
Qualifying
  Brandon Bernstein leads the Top Fuel field, qualifying in the top spot with a 4.596 @ 324 mph run, resetting the track record for speed. 28 seconds, 1.5 Mb.
  Robert Hight qualifies the Auto Club Mustang on the pole with a 4.796 @ 319.82 mph run, resetting both ends of the track records in the process. Ron Capps, in the other lane, has a top end fire. 40.5 seconds, 2.2 Mb.
