Final RoundMADISON, Ill. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Top Fuel at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 13th annual O'Reilly NHRA Midwest Nationals presented by Castrol: W/L Driver R-Time E-Time Speed (W) Antron Brown (Matco Tools Direct TV Dragste 0.057 3.850 318.02 (L) Brandon Bernstein (Budweiser/Lucas Oil Drag 0.049 3.888 310.274:38 p.m. We're ready for the first of our Fuel finals this weekend. In the 12 years of this race, only two drivers have come from the bottom half of the field to win. They were Kenny Bernstein in 2002 and Melanie Troxel in 2007.
In a very good drag race, Antron Brown was slightly ahead starting at just a few feet down the track. Bernstein was close but can't bring the prize back to St. Louis for his final year with Anheuser-Busch.
With this win Antron takes over the lead in the points again, putting 18 points between and Tony Schumacher in second place. It's been that kind of a year so far for Antron as he has not ranked any lower than second since the first race of the season.
Congratulations to the entire team, Matco Tools, and Direct TV.

Good thing that betting is illegal here in Illinois as this pair would be tough to post odds on. Both teams have strengths - Coughlin on the tree, and Line under the hood.
Line tries too hard and JUST pushes the tree too hard. He runs a very quick pass that's only .04 mph from being a track record, but none of that matters.
Congratulations to Jeg and Roy Simmons, and Steve Cultrera. When you're consistently fast like they've been, good things are going to happen.

Yes, they did. That's why they're the main men.
In a really good race, Burgess comes out the winner. His car continued to drift left further and further as he went down the track. He managed one of the best tightrope acts I've seen in a while as he crossed the finish line just inches away but never committed the foul.
Auxier was right there all the way, but the Al-Anabi car lost by just a hair. After all the wallbanging we've seen today this race made it all worth it.
Roger Burgess' MOV: 0.0089 seconds (approximately 3 feet).
Roger Burgess' incremental margins: 60ft(0.031), 330 ft(0.016), 660ft(0.003), 1,000ft(0.000). MOV: 0.0089 seconds (approximately 3 feet).

This race is decided at the finish line as Stewart breaks out by a very slim .010 second. Taylor wins his 40th event and continues to add wins to a legendary career.
That's it from St. Louis, and it's been a remarkable race with some of the best driving performances we've seen in a long time. Thanks for stopping in this weekend as it's been a true pleasure to share the fun.
