Final Round

Schumacher is 29 - 23 against Kalitta in prior events and Schumacher is 5 - 4 against Kalitta in prior final rounds. Schumacher with a slight starting line advantage and never looks back to take the win by 0.0281 seconds (approximately 13 feet). Schumacher with his third national event win of the year and 59th of his career. Kalitta with a good pass until right before the finish line with a puff of engine smoke.

Pedregon is running the Jimmy Johnson Foundation colors on his Quaker State Funny Car this weekend.

Worsham is in his second final round in a row, after winning two weeks ago at St. Louis, but has never won at Bristol. He has won 23 races in 36 previous final round appearances. He is currently second in NHRA Full Throttle Funny Car standings.

What a great old drag race by two top competitors. Worsham runs the table will all of the numbers in this round. He runs the quickest ET of the weekend and is just a quarter of a mile and hour from the fastest.

Both cars run straight and clean from start to finish with big nitro header flames over the roofs. It was a game attempt by Pedregon, but Worsham opened up the lead all the way down the track to take the 2009 Thunder Valley Funny Car Championship. That two wins in a row and he will stay #2 in the points.

Anderson is 29 - 5 against Edwards in prior events and Anderson is 1 - 0 against Edwards in prior final rounds. Edwards with another great light and then runs low E.T. of the event for his second National event win of the year and the 17th of his career. He lowers the track E.T. record. Mike Edwards' incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.773, 660ft-4.264/165.05 mph, 1,000ft-5.549. Anderson with a good looking pass and the fastest pass of the event and track speed record. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-1.004 sec., 330ft-2.796, 660ft-4.287/165.01 mph, 1,000ft-5.574.

Nitrous vs. Blower in the final round with the #5 and #6 qualifiers. Auxier was in the finals last week in St. Louis.

Two clean passes, but it's all over at the starting line.

Auxier is the 2009 Thunder Valley Pro Modified Champion after a huge red light by a quicker and faster Commisso.

Taylor was just a couple ticks too quick on the tree and Hall will collect his third national event win and the first one that is not at Maple Grove.
