Right Lane: Rick Distefano Runs 11.380/76.37, Now #2
4:56 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 79 degrees, relative humidity 67 percent, barometer 29.39 inches, adjusted altitude 2,763 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.Distefano has problems early in the run and clicks it off. Ray goes right down the groove and sets the early pace.
Left Lane: Tommy D'aprile Runs 6.446/208.81, Now #3
Right Lane: Dennis Radford Runs 6.147/227.57, Now #1
Radford makes a nice pass here and takes the early pole. D'Aprile had problems late in the run.
Left Lane: Melanie Troxel Runs 6.050/237.25, Now #1
Right Lane: Kirk Wilmes Runs 8.576/107.95, Now #5
Troxel makes a tremendous run and vaults to the top of the field. Wilmes had problems late in the run and clicks it off early.
Left Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 6.166/235.97, Now #4
Right Lane: Rick Stivers Runs 6.013/239.36, Now #1
Stivers raises the bar on this pass, just missing dipping into the 5's. Smith makes a decent pass to get in the fourth spot.

Right Lane: Brad Personett Runs 6.264/197.94, Now #6
Personett gets about 300 feet out, loses traction and pedals a couple of times. No apparent problems for Knowles.
Left Lane: Tim Tindle No Time, Now #12
Right Lane: Jay Payne Runs 5.968/240.25, Now #1
Tindles gets out of the groove and makes a move toward the centerline. He drives in between the timing into the right lane and drafts payne through the end of the track.
Payne makes a great pass, right down the groove and takes the top spot.
Left Lane: Raymond Commisso Runs 10.762/81.65, Now #12
Right Lane: Joe Baker Runs 6.058/238.17, Now #4
Commisso has problems early in the run and has to give up on the run. Baker goes right down the groove and gets in the fourth spot.
Left Lane: Mike Castellana Runs 6.022/233.96, Now #4
Right Lane: Danny Rowe Runs 5.971/243.28, Now #2
Rowe makes a clean stright pass and gets in just behind Payne. Castellana with a trouble free run to get in the fourth spot for now.

8:04 p.m. Distefano had problems in the first round but not on this pass. he goes right down the groove and gets in the show in the 11th spot. Tindle skated around for the first half of the run but got it under control and gets in the show.

Best prior run: 10.762/81.65, Was #18 Commisso was skating around for the first half of the run and finally backed off the throttle. Wilmes makes a clean pass and gets in the show, bumping out D'Aprile in the process.

Best prior run: 6.446/208.81, Was #17 D'aprile was just bumped out of the show; Personett is in the 15th spot. Personett makes a great pass in the turbocharged Camaro and vaults to the top spot. D'aprile makes a clean pass and gets back in the show, bumping out Knowles.

Radford goes right down the groove and moves up a notch on the ladder.

Baker is closer to the top qualifiers but is still a tenth off the pace. Baker has a good .995 sixty foot time but has problems early in the run. D'aprile goes right down the groove under full power and picks up qutie a bit from his earlier attempts.

Best prior run: 6.012/234.04, Was #8 Auxier drifts to the left, pulls it back to the right, then finally decides to give up on the run. Castellana makes his quickest pass of the wekend and gets in the top half of the field for now.

Smith makes a great pass, his quickest of the weekend and the quickest of the round so far, and he moves up to the fifth spot. The top seven cars are now in the 5's.

Two of the straightest runs I've seen in pro Mod, both cars right down the groove.
D'aprile gets out of the gate first, then Rowe started making up ground. Rowe drives around him just before the 1000 foot mark, then D'aprile seemed to lose power.
