Weems had a great looking run going until right near the lights, where the car lunged abruptly across the track. The car took out the finish line ET lights and looked to have hit the left guard rail before traveling back across the track into the right wall. As it's way dark down there, I couldn't see the car after that. The Safety Safari is out on the track quickly and has Weems out and tells us he is OK.
Adams had clicked it early, but gets "No Time", as Weems car took out the finish line lights first.

Hogan looked to be on a free pass to round two, when the car made an abrupt move after mid-track and rolls several times, taking out the finish line lights, and stopping on the track in his lane after the finish line. The Safety Safari is quickly on the car and reports that Hogan is awake and responding well. They are keeping him in the car until they can stabilize him and ensure that he hasn't any severe injuries.
Fitzpatrick will get to race tomorrow.
