Top Fuel Final Round

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Top Fuel at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 41st annual NHRA SuperNationals: W/L Driver R-Time E-Time Speed (W) Larry Dixon (Al-Anabi Racing Dragster) 0.121 3.824 320.05 (L) Antron Brown (Matco Tools Dragster) 0.077 6.314 101.94 11:14 a.m. - Dixon is 9 - 3 against Brown in prior events and Dixon is 2 - 1 against Brown in prior final rounds. Brown was quicker out of the gate and well ahead at 60 feet but then the rear tires of his dragster went up in smoke at 330 feet. Dixon had a clean run down the groove in the other lane for the win in his 11th appearance in the final round here at Englishtown. It was the 98th final round in Dixon's career and his 54th win.

Funny Car Final Round

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 41st annual NHRA SuperNationals: W/L Driver R-Time E-Time Speed (W) Bob Tasca III (Motorcraft/Quick Lane Mustan 0.027 4.117 No Speed (L) Del Worsham (Al-Anabi Racing Solara) 0.104 4.107 No Speed 11:04 a.m. - Worsham is 4 - 2 against Tasca III in prior events and this is the first time they have faced each other in a final round. Worsham won here at Englishtown in 1991 and 2005 and was runner up in 1992. This is Tasca's first time in the final round here. He has been in four finals before this and won at Gainesville and Maple Grove last year. He was runner up at Gainesville this year. Tasca got out of the gate first by a hundredth of a second and needed every bit of it. He was trailing the race at 660 feet had a late charge at the end to edge out Worsham and take the Funny Car win. Both drivers had clean runs with barely a trace of tire smoke.

Pro Stock Final Round

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 41st annual NHRA SuperNationals: W/L Driver R-Time E-Time Speed (W) Mike Edwards (Penhall/K&N/Interstae GXP) 0.012 6.596 209.39 (L) Shane Gray (Tire Kingdom GXP) 0.058 6.634 209.07 11:00 a.m. - This is the first time Edwards and Gray have faced each other in eliminations. Edwards has been in seven finals before this in 2010 and won six of them. His only loss in the final round came in Gainesville when he lost to Jason Line. This is Gray's first final round. The farthest he has gone before this was last week in Chicago. He lost there to Jason Line in the semi-finals. Edwards was quicker off the starting line and increased his advantage on the track to take his seventh win of the season with 12 more events still to come.

Pro Stock Motorcycle Final Round

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 41st annual NHRA SuperNationals: W/L Driver R-Time E-Time Speed (W) Michael Phillips (Racers Edge Suzuki) 0.012 6.911 194.32 (L) Steve Johnson (Lincoln Tech Suzuki) 0.057 6.886 194.63 10:55 a.m. - Phillips was the number one qualifier here and it was the first time in his career that he had qualified in the top spot in the order. He has three wins and two losses to Johnson in round wins in prior events, and these two have never raced each other in a final round. Neither rider has ever been in the final round here at Englishtown before this. Phillips was first out of the starting gate and he needed it because Johnson had his career best ET in a losing effort.

Pro Mod Final Round

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Pro Modified at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 41st annual NHRA SuperNationals: W/L Driver R-Time E-Time Speed (W) Von Smith (Dr. Moon /Al-Anabi '68 Camaro) 0.014 5.890 247.52 (L) Mike Castellana (Al-Anabi '69 Camaro) 0.042 6.182 196.87 11:22 a.m. - Smith got out of the gate first and pulled away from Castellana as they traveled the quarter mile. Castellana's car made a little move at 330 feet and drifted out of the groove. By the time that happened, Smith was already well ahead in the race.

Top Alcohol Dragster Final Round

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 41st annual NHRA SuperNationals: W/L Driver R-Time E-Time Speed (W) Monroe Guest (Tigerflow A/FD) 0.028 5.388 265.74 (L) Mike Kosky (American Flyer TA/D) 0.047 12.776 59.24 11:29 a.m. - This is the first time Guest and Kosky have faced each other in eliminations. Kosky was runner up here last year to John Finke. His last national event win came at Maple Grove in 1999. Guest went to the finals in Houston and Chicago this year and won in Chicago. Guest got off the starting line first but it really didn't matter as Kosky's car broke the blower belt as soon as he launched.

Top Alcohol Funny Car Final Round

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 41st annual NHRA SuperNationals: W/L Driver R-Time E-Time Speed (W) Frank Manzo (Al Anabi Racing Monte Carlo) 0.066 5.468 263.67 (L) Mickey Ferro (Ryco Hydraulics Monte Carlo) 0.052 5.520 259.21 11:25 a.m. - Manzo had two wins so far before this race and both came against Ferro. Those wins came at Gainesville and Chicago. Ferro has one win this year, when he beat Tony Bartone in Houston. Ferro was quicker off the starting line. He and Manzo were even at 60 feet. After that it was Manzo all the way as he got his 83rd national event win.

Comp Eliminator Final Round

Bertozzi went red so Biondo got the Comp Eliminator win. He's also in the Super Stock final, also in a car owned by Barone, so we have the chance to have a driver double up in cars owned by the same owner.

Super Stock Final Round

Biondo already won in Comp Eliminator driving a car owned by Vinny Barone. He had a chance to double up with a win here, also in a car owned by Vinny Barone. Santangelo made sure that did not happen. He got out of the gate before Barone and even though Barone was closing in, Santangelo managed to stay out in front without breaking out. Joe Santangelo's MOV: 0.0079 seconds (approximately 19 inches). That's it for racing here at Englishtown.

Super Comp Final Round

Kenny ran him down but broke out.

Super Gas Final Round

Northrup held off Schurman's challenge but broke out in the process. Matt Schurman is the Super Gas winner here.
