      Left Lane: Chuck Cheeseman  Runs 6.400/225.94, Now #2
     Right Lane: Mike Knowles     Runs 6.183/235.35, Now #1
4:50 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 87 degrees, relative humidity 39 percent, barometer 28.49 inches, adjusted altitude 4,164 feet, track temperature 139 degrees.

This is Cheeseman's first appearance in the Get Screened America Pro Mod Series. This is his first national event since Norwalk 2007 where he ran in the TAFC class.

A good start for Cheeseman, right down the middle of the track. Knowles makes a clean run and sets the early mark.

Two more good, clean passes, Commisso pulls away from Personett all the way through the run and takes the top spot for now.

King is coming off a DNQ in St. Louis.

King gets about 300 feet out, loses traction and has to pedal. Ray gets about 400 feet out, strikes the tires and gives up on the run.

      Left Lane: Ed Hoover        Runs 6.096/235.02, Now #2
     Right Lane: Joe Baker        Runs 6.414/230.41, Now #11
Baker gets out of the groove early and makes a move toward the centerline. He never backs off the throttle, gets the car under control, and gets in the field in the eleventh spot for now. Hoover goes right down the groove and moves into the second spot.
      Left Lane: Dennis Radford   Runs 6.143/230.25, Now #6
     Right Lane: Melanie Troxel   Runs 6.154/238.38, Now #7
Troxel is in a new car for this race. She not qualified at two events this year.

She makes a decent run in the new car and gets in the seventh spot for now. Radford goes right down the groove and gets in just in front of Troxel in the sixth spot.

      Left Lane: Mike Castellana  Runs 6.068/235.60, Now #1
     Right Lane: Mike Janis       Runs 15.271/68.10, Now #16
Janis DNQ'd at the first two races this year. He was the runner-up at the Atlanta race.

Castellana DNQ'd at two races this year.

Janis hits the throttle, loses traction and gives up on the run. Castellana goes right down the groove and takes the top spot for now.

Pontieri has traction problems and has to pedal about 300 feet out. Coughlin makes a decent pass and gets in the top half of the field for now.

     Right Lane: Kenny Lang       Runs 6.258/217.67, Now #13
Payne gets out of shape early in the run and has to back off the throttle about 300 feet out. Lang drifted to the right but was able to hold it off the center-line.
      Left Lane: Danny Rowe       Runs 6.041/240.98, Now #1
     Right Lane: Von Smith        Runs 12.578/84.53, Now #21
Smith had traction problems right off the line and had to give up on the run about 100 feet out. Rowe drifted to the left early, got about two feet from the wall, but is able to hang on and take the top spot for now.

Smith won the event last week and also won earlier this year at Saint Louis. This is Payne's first final round this year. Payne is 8-4 vs. Smith in the TAFC class.

Payne has been running just a little better all weekend but you can throw that out the window now. Payne gets out of the gate first, then Smith reels him in quickly, drives around at the sixty foot mark, then pulls away for the win.
