The body flies off the car, the chutes deploy, and the engine goes up in flames. The car continues down the track finally coming to a stop in the shutdown area. Pedregon isn't in the show yet and the bump is fairly soft. Troxel is looking to improve on her qualifying position
A couple of really nice passes here. Pedregon drifted a little to the left all the way through the run but was able to stay on the throttle and get in the show, bumping out Haddock. Troxel made a clean run but didn't improve enough to move up in the order.

Capps had a nasty explosion in the first round and had to really thrash to get the car ready for this race. The team had to replace the body and the engine and got help from the Matco Tools team.
They left the line together then Capps started to pull away. He extended his lead past the 330 foot mark, then struck the tires. Tasca's car was struggling at the hit but he stayed on the throttle and drove around the struggling car of Capps' and pulled away for the win.
