The Safety Safari is out in force dusting and cleaning down track.Left Lane: Steve Faria Runs 9.358/69.78, Now #7 Right Lane: Dom Lagana Runs 5.353/128.71, Now #53:29 p.m. Back to racing.

More clean up in the right lane.Left Lane: Morgan Lucas Runs 9.306/90.05, Now #11 Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 3.892/311.63, Now #13:55 p.m. The call goes out to start the engines.
Lucas is away first, but spins and shakes before sixty feet.
Torrance makes it look easy and thunders on down the track to card a sub-three ninety ET and take over the new #1 position on the ladder.
Steve Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.851 sec., 330ft-2.185, 660ft-3.114/272.39 mph.Left Lane: David Grubnic Runs 4.384/181.98, Now #8 Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 3.840/316.30, Now #1Steve Faria is on the bump spot at 9.358.

First pass for the Greek and Cullinan lost his ET to an oil down penality.
Cullinan gets away first, but can match Karamesines pace. The cars starts to smoke heavily and slows.
Karamesines dragster makes a almost clean pass into the #8 slot, with a lot of smoke at the finish line.
Tim Cullinan's incremental times: 60ft-0.894 sec., 330ft-2.325, 660ft-3.779/142.97 mph.

Steve Faria's incremental times: 60ft-0.890 sec., 330ft-2.282, 660ft-3.340/223.62 mph.Left Lane: Ron August Runs 5.594/125.10, Now #18 Best prior run: 14.989/28.09, Was #25 Right Lane: Morgan Lucas No Time, Now #24 Best prior run: 9.306/90.05, Was #232:47 p.m. The track is clean and the call goes out to start the engines. Mike Strasburg is on the bump spot at 4.113.
August is in the Hartley Family Fueler this weekend and the car strikes the tires before the 100 foot mark.
Lucas' pass is DQ'ed as the engine erupts near the finish line and the clean up trucks are rolling. That's two in a row.
Ron August's incremental times: 60ft-0.884 sec., 330ft-2.413, 660ft-3.867/148.84 mph.
Morgan Lucas' incremental times: 60ft-0.884 sec., 330ft-2.237, 660ft-3.214/254.14 mph.Left Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 3.881/313.80, Now #5 Best prior run: 8.240/84.58, Was #22 Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.905/312.28, Now #7 Best prior run: 8.482/79.38, Was #233:00 p.m. One more time!
Two good passes this time, with no oil!
They leave together and Langdon's car starts to pull ahead all the way to the finish line. That good enough for a top half of the field #5 spot. Brown gets a full pass too into the new #7 spot.
Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.846 sec., 330ft-2.178, 660ft-3.107/273.61 mph.

Lagana show the power and uses the 1000 feet to run well enough to just miss the top half of the field.
No joy for the BME Team, as there is smoke off the engine at the top end and Buff's car slows.
Dom Lagana's incremental times: 60ft-0.865 sec., 330ft-2.216, 660ft-3.154/270.16 mph.
Troy Buff's incremental times: 60ft-0.871 sec., 330ft-2.264, 660ft-3.276/247.61 mph.Left Lane: Joran Persaker Runs 4.113/225.67, Now #16 Best prior run: 4.274/206.35, Was #18 Right Lane: Stig Neergaard No Time, Now #23 Best prior run: 7.630/97.18, Was #23Terry McMillen is on the bump spot at 3.974.
The speeds here should be in Kilometers per hour!
Neergaard is away first, but quickly starts to drop cylinders. He stays it too long and there is a flash and fire from the engine. The car continues to burn until it spots on the track, but he is OK. Needless to say: Oil on the track!
Persaker has a much drier pass and moves up two s[pots to the current #16 spot.
Joran Persaker's incremental times: 60ft-0.861 sec., 330ft-2.203, 660ft-3.149/263.72 mph.

Back to qualifying.
Strasburg gets a better pass this time and will get into the show for now.
Mariani's fueler starts to drop cylinder on the left bank and it drives the car almost over the center line before he can get it straightened out.
Mike Strasburg's incremental times: 60ft-0.871 sec., 330ft-2.225, 660ft-3.160/271.68 mph.

Grubnic shakes and starts to drop cylinders right off the line and clicks it off early.
Vandergriff has a clean pass to pick up a little MPH and lose a little ET. He will stay #8.
Bob Vandergriff's incremental times: 60ft-0.869 sec., 330ft-2.224, 660ft-3.170/267.85 mph.Left Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 9.914/80.70, Now #6 Best prior run: 3.892/311.63, Was #6 Right Lane: Lex Joon Runs 4.599/178.59, Now #17 Best prior run: 4.120/293.98, Was #17No joy here.
Torrance smokes the tires at the hit. Joon gets a 0.893 sixty foot time and then starts to mix up the cylinders. He doesn't get much further before the blower belt flies off.Left Lane: Cory McClenathan Runs 4.553/166.48, Now #4 Best prior run: 3.853/317.87, Was #4 Right Lane: T.J. Zizzo Runs 3.918/310.77, Now #8 Best prior run: 4.004/280.89, Was #15Zizzo has problems backing up and the team runs out to drag the fueler back to the lights. Apparently no serious issues, as he makes a strong pass into the field in the number eight spot.
McClenathan can't improve, as he leaves hard and then kicks the tires right after the three thirty foot lights.
Cory McClenathan's incremental times: 60ft-0.843 sec., 330ft-2.168, 660ft-3.253/197.74 mph.

Brandon Bernstein is on the bump spot at 3.945.
Two good passes, with Kalitta basically repeating his ET from yesterday with a better speed.
Bernstein puts the power to the ground and moves well up the ladder to near the top half.
Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.853 sec., 330ft-2.165, 660ft-3.082/276.97 mph.
Brandon Bernstein's incremental times: 60ft-0.862 sec., 330ft-2.194, 660ft-3.124/273.66 mph.Left Lane: Larry Dixon Runs 5.708/117.21, Now #1 Best prior run: 3.813/318.39, Was #1 Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.855/307.72, Now #2 Best prior run: 3.840/320.58, Was #2Mike Strasburg is on the bump spot at 3.943.
Dixon is away first and doesn't stay there long, as the car overpowers the track and he has to lift.
Schumacher makes a strong pass, just a little slower than yesterday to stay #2.
Larry Dixon's incremental times: 60ft-0.845 sec., 330ft-2.242, 660ft-3.815/133.47 mph.

Ouch! Joon's dragster moves hard out of the groove off the line and then has most of the left bank cylinders out right away. There is a huge billow of fire from the engine just before mid-track and he stops the fueler on the track. He runs 5.114 at 139.66 MPH, the time is DQ'ed for oil.
