Severance is 1 - 0 against Bart in prior events. Bart with her seventh career start. Severance with a near perfect light and the just past half track he bang the blower and the chute automatically deployed. He was able to coast across for the win because right at the launch Bart's front end was in the air and then when it came back to earth it had parts coming off and it appeared to pitch the blower belt and the car went silent.

This is the first time Alexander and Demke have faced each other in eliminations. This is Alexander's sixth career start. This is the sixth time Demke has qualified No. 1 and he was No. 1 here last year and won the event. Alexander is too quick on the tree and turned on the red light. Demke with another great pass.
