Jeg's Mail Order, a nationwide leader in sales and distribution of parts and supplies for the aftermarket performance industry, continues its title sponsorship of two of the three SPORTSnationals events.

The third annual Jegs.com NHRA Cajun SPORTSnationals will run April 21-23 at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La.  The second annual Jeg's Northern SPORTSnationals will be held July 27-29 at National Trail Raceway near Columbus, Ohio.

The SPORTSnationals are NHRA national events designed to showcase NHRA's sportsman categories exclusively. Competitors in Comp Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street will compete for more than $50,000 at each of the NHRA SPORTSnationals events in 2006. NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series national event points will be awarded to drivers in all categories except Super Street.  In addition, all three NHRA SPORTSnationals events will feature NHRA class eliminations, including a Super Stock Hemi Shootout.

The commitment to sponsor the two NHRA SPORTSnationals events increases Jeg's Mail Order's presence in NHRA Championship Drag Racing. The company also sponsors the popular Jeg's Allstars at Route 66 Raceway near Chicago; the Jeg's Super Quick Series in NHRA's North Central Division; and provides primary sponsorship for a variety of race cars that run in NHRA competition.  Jeg's also is a major NHRA contingency sponsor.

Last November, NHRA officials announced the NHRA Pacific SPORTSnationals.  The event will be September 29-October 1 at Auto Club Dragway at California Speedway in Fontana, Calif.  It will be the first SPORTSnationals event on the West Coast since the re-introduction of the program in 2004.

NHRA renewed the popular SPORTSnationals race two years ago after hosting the event from 1974-1986 at a trio of tracks, including Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Ky. (1974-'80; 1985-'86), the old Houston International Raceway (1981-'82) and Indianapolis Raceway Park (1982-'84).

With more than 330 associates, Jeg's Mail Order, based in Delaware, Ohio is a recognized leader in the sale and distribution of parts and supplies for the automotive aftermarket performance industry. Jeg's Mail Order has three retail locations in central Ohio and multiple call centers that service customers nationwide. Collectively, the Coughlin family – Jeg Sr., John, Troy, Mike and Jeg Jr.-- have earned more than 100 victories in NHRA competition.
