Back to business
It will be back to business for the pair whose promising 2005 racing season was abbreviated due to unanticipated sponsorship issues. Now again fully equipped with major backing from Florida-based Erie Educational Services, their Chevy Monte Carlo is primed to take aim on the 2006 racing season. Arend’s season debut will come at the very same Gainesville Raceway track where he made his Professional driving debut back in 1995. “We’re all really excited about getting our season off and rolling,” said Arend. “This is really the backyard for both Paul Smith and for our sponsor Marc Burling and his Erie Educational Services corporation. We will be racing in front of lot of family, friends and employees and everyone on the team is focused on putting on a great show.” Arend reports that a major positive for his team is the complete return of all of his great crew from last season including Michael Hennessey, Randy Carmichael, Doug Tyo, Dennis Elias and Mike Smith. “That stability is very important for us coming out of the gate,” Arend added. “Everyone on the team knows the drill already so we are confident we can get back up to speed quickly.” Erie Educational Services, is an innovative student loan company which offers it’s clients integrated student loan consolidation programs, products and services which feature competitive rates and “industry first” business software and technology. Their website is: www.ErieEducational.com. That sponsorship is complimented by team associates Banks Power (www.bankspower.com) and V.F. Trucking.
