Scott Weis Serta/Barrett Enterprises dragster

Las Vegas, prerace: Scott Weis is hoping to have his luck change at the SummitRacing.com Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend. The team is being supported by Joe and Marlene Collura, Chicagoland friends of sponsors Bill and Patti Barrett, who run a Las Vegas restaurant called Chicago Joes. They have created this weekend's special, "Nitrofino," a spicy seafood pasta dish that is a Weis favorite.

The Barrett Enterprises/Carpenters Union Top Fuel dragster is continuing to improve at each and every race of the young 2006 NHRA POWERade season.

"We feel very comfortable at The Strip," said Weis. "We were comfortable with the data we collected here at preseason testing a few weeks ago. We are hoping to successfully plug in the test combination that we ran and be racing on Sunday."
