Line can’t wait for the fun to begin in Vegas
Line will try to improve his current sixth place position in the POWERade Pro Stock point standing when qualifying gets underway on Friday In his only appearance at Line’s best outing on the quarter-mile track at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway came in the fall race of 2004 when he qualified No. 1, had low elapsed time of the weekend and finished runner-up to his teammate Greg Anderson. This year Line hopes to turn around his misfortunes of 2005 when he didn’t qualify well and exited early. “After doing pretty well in the previous two years, it was a disappointment last year,” said Line. “I really like this track and can’t wait for the fun to begin this Friday. It’s the hometown of our team owner Ken Black and it’s always great to see Ken, Judy and their son Kenny while we here. The team is pumped and we look forward to putting on a good show in front of the Blacks and their many guests. “As if that isn’t incentive enough, this race is sponsor by Summit Racing, who just happens to be the company that backs the Pontiac GTOs that both my teammate Greg Anderson and I compete in on the NHRA circuit.
