Cory McClenathan Rapisarda Racing

Las Vegas, Friday: Cory McClenathan's natural instinct was to wish for a better elapsed time following Friday night qualifying for Sunday's SummitRacing.com Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  But he was nonetheless pleased to be seventh going into Saturday's last two runs.

The Carrier Boyz Racing FRAM Boost Top Fuel dragster's best time was 4.579 seconds at 330.47 mph and followed a first run that was slowed to 4.882 seconds by a dropped cylinder.

"That was a good run for us," McClenathan said.  "Crew chief Wes Cerny's tune-up was a little conservative because he wanted to make sure we got in the show.  I'm confident we can run better Saturday."
