Enders' consistency paying off
Enders qualified her Slammers Ultimate Milk Chevy Cobalt in the No. 3 position for the second straight race during Saturday's third qualifying session, running a 6.79 at 202.94 mph. "Qualifying in the top positions was so close this weekend," Enders said. "We actually matched Warren Johnson's No. 2 e.t. but he had us on speed. It's amazing how even all these cars are." Enders' qualifying effort paired her with Larry Morgan in the first round of eliminations on Sunday. During the race, Enders left the starting line first with a near perfect .005 light and never looked back, running a 6.827 to Morgan's 6.864. Enders' win moved her into a second round match-up with Pro Stock veteran Kurt Johnson. At the green, Enders once again got the starting line advantage, but fell short at the finish line with a 6.857 to Johnson's 6.823.
