Atlanta, Saturday: U.S. Army Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Angelle Sampey moved into the fifth starting spot.

Sampey, who won the opening two races of 2006, finished qualifying with a 7.107-second run at 188.33 mph. In the process, she moved from the lower half of the field to the upper half.

"It took a few laps this weekend, but we finally got my U.S. Army Suzuki sorted out," said the three-time world champion. "Like Antron, I'm excited about getting to race day."

Sampey will take on 12th-place qualifier Geno Scali in round one.
