Northrop moves into 15th spot
"We made a real good run Saturday," said Northrop, of his 6.698-second time at 205.13 mph. "We were ninth-quickest for the session." Northrop, of Inclement weather forced NHRA officials to cancel the final qualifying session, which prevented Mike Thomas, driver of Koretsky's blue Nitro Fish/ISC Racers Tape Dodge, from making his final attempt and kept him out of the starting lineup. "We made some changes to the blue car and I really felt we had a good chance to qualify," said Guarnaccia. "We stopped the car from going to the left and to the right and I think we found its happy (tune-up) spot," said crew chief Eddie Guarnaccia.
