Dave Connolly Industrial Distribution Group Chevrolet Cobalt

Indianapolis, Friday: Dave Connolly smiled after his 6.705-second run at 204.76-mph put the Skull Gear Chevy Cobalt seventh in the opening day line-up for Monday's Mac Tools U.S. Nationals at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis.

"We were happy with the run. It was pretty good," he said. "I can't complain. We were only one-thousandth (of a second) off the quickest 60-foot time."

Connolly gets two more runs Saturday and two more Sunday before Monday's eliminations.
