Wilkerson makes a good pass but comes up short
And even though Wilkerson laid down a good, clean pass of 4.874 at 319.90 mph, he didn't have enough against Robert Hight's quickest of the session, a 4.748 at 319.22. "We hurt our best blower last night," explained Wilkerson, "and it showed today. It was a little weak when we hit the gas pedal. But it's all good. It's going down the track again, and it's straight as an arrow. And it's always good when the car is still together. "We've got another blower upstairs that we'll get out for next week. And maybe we'll go some rounds, now that our car goes down the track again."
