Schumacher grabs No. 1 spot

"We were a little soft in the middle during that run, so there should be more left in my U.S. Army car," said the defending NHRA POWERade Top Fuel world champion. "Our intention remains to set the new national elapsed time record for the extra 20 bonus points. We need every point possible if we're going to win the title this weekend." The "I'm as relaxed as I can be," he added. "We're going to give it our best shot in the coming days, so we'll just have to see how it all ends up."
