Melanie Troxel In-n-Out Burger Dodge R/T

Las Vegas, Sunday: Melanie Troxel gave it her all in a valiant effort against teammate, Morgan Lucas in the first round of the eighth annual running of the Summitracing.com Nationals at the Strip at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway only to be outdistanced by Lucas in a quick quarter-mile race to open the event. 

Troxel left the starting line first (.066 - .088) and was marching down the track until her Torco/Vietnam Veterans MIA/POW dragster got out of the groove leaving the path of victory to Lucas.  Troxel ran an elapsed time of 4.611 seconds, 314.75 mph to Lucas’ quicker time of 4.547 seconds, 316.82 mph.

She was the No. 9 qualifier in the competitive 16-car field with a time of 4.558 seconds, 327.51 miles per hour.

Melanie has now accrued 246 NHRA POWERade Top Fuel points and is in the eighth position after the fifth race of the season.
