Hillary Will KB Racing dragster

Chicago, Saturday: Hillary Will, driver of the KB Racing LLC-owned, Kalitta Motorsports-managed Top Fuel dragster, finished in the top half of the field when she qualified No. 7 at the 10th annual NHRA Torco Racing Fuels Route 66 Nationals being held at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill.

Will’s best times came on Friday when she recorded a pass of 4.566 seconds in the first qualifying session, improving to a 4.514 second in the evening session, the best of her four runs,

“We were consistent on Friday and that give us something positive to build on for eliminations tomorrow,” said Will, after two long days of qualifying.  “It’s the highest we’ve qualified this season and it is good to see a smile on the team’s faces.  This gives us confidence as we move to elimination.  We are overdue for a win and going rounds will go along way to moving us up in points.”

When eliminations get underway at 11 a.m. tomorrow, Will pulls the KB Racing LLC dragster to the starting Line against No. 10 qualifier Melanie Troxel.
