Line wants to keep love affair with Bristol Dragway going
Bristol, prerace: After taking the NHRA O’Reilly Thunder Valley Nationals title last year, Jason Line, driver of the KB Racing LLC Summit Racing Equipment Pontiac GTO, wants to keep winning at Bristol Dragway. “I love Bristol Dragway. It’s one of my favorite places in the whole world,” said Line, the reigning Pro Stock champ. “It’s a great track and I’ve done pretty well here in the past. Sometimes when things aren’t going well you look forward to getting to a track that you like and do well. This is one of those weekends. Maybe things will turnaround. It turned my season around last year. Maybe this will be the start of something good for me and my Summit Pontiac this year.” After 11 events, Line is currently fourth in the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock point standings, 310 points behind his teammate, Greg Anderson, who leads the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock standings in the first segment of the Countdown to the Championship. Line has 682 points; while, Line ran the table (No. 1 qualifier, won the race, ran low elapsed time and top speed of the event) here last year.
