Antron Brown Matco Tools dragster

Indianapolis, Saturday: U.S. Army pilot Antron Brown finished day two in ninth. Brown was better on Saturday with a 7.070-second pass, but he fell into the bottom half of the field.

"That's still not good enough," he said. "We should be closer to the guys at the top. We'll certainly aim to get up there tomorrow."

In the Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle, Brown lost in the first round to Andrew Hines despite nailing a .009-second reaction time.

"We gave it all we had, but we just came up short," he said.
