Wilkerson didn't have enough for the show
It was in the first qualifying session when Wilkerson was bumped out as he ran 4.956 at 289.76 mph. With only one attempt left, Wilkerson needed to fight his way back into the program. And fight he did, posting his quickest and fastest run of the weekend, a 4.930 at 311.49 mph. But in this case, his best just wasn't enough. "We made two good runs today," explained Wilkerson, "but it put a hole out on both when it got to spinning the tires. So, it never really made it to the end doing what it was suppose to do. The track got us on the first run and on the second run the track was just a little ahead of us and the car was a little slow. It should have run a little better than it did but it didn't rev up like I thought it would. It's not the end of the world, but unfortunately, the weekend didn't turn out the way we wanted. On the positive side it made four nice runs this weekend and it's still going down the track good. So, I think things should be better next week in
