Justin Humphreys RaceRedi Motorsports Pontiac GXP

Chicago, Sunday: Justin Humphreys knew he must get off to a quick start against Jason Line in Sunday's first Pro Stock round of the Torco Racing Fuels Route 66 Nationals at Route 66 Raceway, and he did.  The unfortunate part is that it was 25-thousandths of a second too soon.

Line was the automatic winner with a time of 6.747 seconds at 204.23 mph to Humphreys' 6.745 at 203.74. 

Humphreys, driving the RaceRedi Dodge Stratus for the second consecutive race, qualified each time in the tough Pro Stock field.  His crew chief, Frank Gugliotta, and Mark Ingersoll (car owner Allen Johnson's crew chief), continue to fine-tune the car.
