Lucas shaves one point off points deficit
His first round race against Fuller was over around 300 feet when Lucas spun the tires allowing his opponent a clear path to the finish line. Lucas jumped off the starting line with a .027 reaction time to Fuller’s much slower .092 and held the lead briefly until his lost traction. In the race, Lucas posted a time of 5.988 seconds, 131.73 mph to Fuller’s winning time of 3.868 seconds, 313.07 mph. Lucas qualified in the No. 10 position on the Top Fuel roster with an elapsed time of 3.868 seconds, 307.93 mph. After the completion of 15 NHRA National events, Lucas is presently in the No. 11 spot with 620 points.
