Gilbertson ready to throw it all at Chicago
"Route 66 is without a doubt the quickest and fastest track we run on all year," Gilbertson said. "There's always great conditions there, good air, it's a hard hooking track and it will take anything you can throw at it. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and allow us to get in four qualifying passes so that we can work on our tune-up for Sunday. My goal this weekend is to go some rounds and stay in the top 10." Weather has affected quite a few races this year with cancelled qualifying sessions hurting the independent teams that don't have teammates to get more information from. "We've lost a lot of qualifying runs this year due to rain and that's a lot of data we don't have like the multi-car teams do," co-crew chief Nicky Boninfante said.
