Sampey focused on first win of season
Englishtown, prerace: U.S. Army Pro Stock Motorcycle riders Angelle Sampey and Antron Brown are ready to break through for their first wins of the year. Sampey lost in the semifinals at Chicago and Brown in the second round last weekend, each saw dramatic improvement in the performance of the U.S. Army Suzuki team.
“Most definitely,” said Sampey, a three-time winner at Raceway Park. “The team performed real well in Joliet. We now have to go those extra couple of steps to be back to where we were at the end of last year. And, that’s going to happen. Steve Tartaglia (the U.S. Army team crew chief) and the guys will see to that.”
“Angelle and me both had very competitive motorcycles last weekend,” said Brown, a Chesterfield, N.J. native. “We’re going to get even better, trust me. We’re bound and determined to begin our move up in the standings.”
