Tony Pedregon Pedregon Racing Toyota Camry Funny Car

Englishtown, Sunday: Tony Pedregon had only one chance to drive the Q Racing Nitro Funny Car down the track during Sunday’s eliminations of the K&N Filters SuperNationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park.

With a faster reaction time than his opponent, Ron Capps, Pedregon fueled the Q Racing car to a 4.863-second elapsed time at 314.24 mph, coming closely behind Capps’ pass of 4.806 seconds at 320.81.

The California native talked about his first run.

 “We had a good car today,” Tony said. “The Q Racing team keeps working in pairing up the performance we have achieved with becoming more consistent. The car field is very competitive and you have to be in top shape to win.”
