Antron Brown Matco Tools dragster

St. Louis, Friday: U.S. Army Pro Stock Motorcycle pilot Antron Brown took the second spot heading into the final day of qualifying on Saturday.

Brown, who captured his first victory of the year last weekend in Englishtown, N.J., used a 7.149-second dash at 186.48 mph to slide in behind provisional pole sitter Andrew Hines.

"It was a real nice run given the hot, humid conditions we had here today," he offered. "We'll take a shot at Andrew tomorrow and see if we can't go to number one."’
